  2. A concept map is a diagram showing the relationships among concepts. It is a graphical tool for organizing and representing knowledge.It does not have to be brief or symmetric, specially when the concept is very complicated.

    take a look at this study that was done using concept maps.
    Its a nice tool, the messier it looks and complex it is , the better it is. The final product is not important, the process of doing one is more important.
